Disaster Management Training
On April 23rd and 24th, 2021, Universitas Ahmad Dahlan’s Bureau of Human Resources held a disaster management training in the main building of campus 4 and campus 3 of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD). The disaster management training was carried out in order to fulfill the requirements of the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) by carrying out disaster management training that focuses on fire fighting and disaster simulation.
Participants who attended the training consist of UAD’s academic society, namely lecturers, academic staff, and students. UAD’s Bureau of Human Resources collaborated with Yogyakarta City Fire Department as the speaker and training guide in this disaster management training. In this training, the team from Yogyakarta Fire Department had the opportunity to provide material in the form of basic fire theory, building fire protection, and basic concepts of disaster management. In addition to presenting material in the form of disasters, the training participants were also invited to practice disaster management simulation. This disaster management simulation practice is in the form of techniques that must be implemented when an earthquake and fire occur in the campus building. It is expected, after this training, the entire academic society of UAD will be much more alert and ready when facing disasters in the campus environment. Especially in the event of an earthquake and fire in the campus building.
